The REC 2 movie is about to come out on DVD and Blue Ray next month! The first REC movie was great. And I'm not talking about the American remake, I'm thinking about the original Spanish REC. This is one the best zombie movies I've seen.

The story is simple: a news reporter and her cameraman are doing a story about "a day in the life of firemen" or something like that so they are following some firemen around. When the firemen are called to a building were something strange is happening the news crew goes along.

When they get to the building no one knows exactly what is happening, but soon enough they'll regret being there. There is a strange infection spreading, and they find themselves trapped inside the building because the military are now quarantining it to prevent the infection from spreading.

The suspense was good, and there was only enough blood and gore to keep you hooked. I loved the ending too. I must say that as sequels go this REC 2 is pretty good. The story picks up where the first movie ended and now a small military force is entering the building. We follow them and we see what they see through their own eyes in a "Blair Witch project" style. Some more blood and gore awaits them!
